Job Summary:
A Laser Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and overseeing laser cutting and engraving machines. This role involves the precise cutting, shaping, and modification of materials such as metal, plastic, wood, and other materials based on technical specifications and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Operate laser cutting machines to produce parts according to blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.
2) Set up machines, including loading and unloading materials such as metal, plastic, or wood.
3) Adjust laser cutting speed, power, focus, and other settings to achieve the desired cut and ensure quality.
4) Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
5) Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning lenses, adjusting laser paths, and troubleshooting minor issues.
6) Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure proper material handling and to meet production targets.
7) Ensure the work area is clean and organized, and that all safety protocols are followed.
8) Document daily work activities, production metrics, and any machine issues.
9) Monitor machine operations to detect any malfunctions and resolve them promptly.
